Hi! I'm Kaushal Mohan, and I'm just a curious human being. I ask a lot of questions and spend countless hours scouring the depths of the internet to fill my brain with random pieces of trivia and facts that can be used, at best, to make me sound interesting.
Looking at things fundamentally from first principles helped me become a better Product Manager. Professionally, I lead a couple of different product lines at IDfy, an awesome company focused on building identity verification and KYC products. I head the entire API suite at IDfy, comprising 140+ APIs, some of which you can see here. In parallel, I also lead the entire platform vertical of IDfy, which is the underlying orchestration layer that ties all IDfy products together. As a senior product manager at IDfy, I am responsible for the entire P&L of my pod - which means that I personally oversee product building, product marketing, product strategy, sales enablement, and pricing.
I landed at IDfy after doing my MBA from the Indian School of Business, where I majored in marketing and strategy. Prior to ISB, I did some incredibly cool stuff working at Citrix R&D for about four years - I worked on building testing frameworks for different products from scratch, built CICD pipelines, and did a bit of work on OpenSSL, OpenStack, and LoadBalancers as well.
I enjoy anything that involves me speaking - presentations, debates, talks. I also love organizing events, and that passion led me to found my own Event Management company, EventsCorp. EventsCorp ran in the space of corporate employee engagement, and over a period of about 2 years, EventsCorp did 20+ events for some of Bangalore's top corporates.
Writing gives me happiness, and I have been doing it for as long I remember - in my school days I was part of the editorial board of the school magazine, and then I followed it up by writing for the college newsletter. During my college days, I also wrote for Sportskeeda and Cricket Country, where I interviewed prominent sports personalities, covered events, wrote articles about events on and off the field, and penned down pieces about present and past cricketers.
I'm a Bangalore boy through and through - but over the last few years, I've taken a liking to Mumbai as well! I love exploring new places and have been fortunate to travel to a few countries until now, and I look forward to adding to that list.
